Proton-pump inhibitors, including rabeprazole, are susceptible to stomach acid breakdown. The use of entericcoated (EC) formulations reduces this issue, although their slower onset time is a drawback. A Fixed-Dose Combination (FDC) tablet containing rabeprazole and sodium bicarbonate.
